Visitor Information![]() At the Aquarium, we have full disabled access with lifts to all levels. There are also disabled toilets available on every floor. We also have wheelchairs that can be borrowed during visits on a first come first serve basis. Reduced rates are also available.
What time do you open and close?
The Aquarium opens at 10am and closes at 6pm, with last admissions at 5pm. There are longer opening hours during certain times of the year, so check opening times. How to do I get to the Aquarium

Can we eat in the London Aquarium? No, the Aquarium is a strictly no eating and drinking attraction. There is a classroom available to groups who pre-book and plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. How long does it take to go around the London Aquarium? It takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to walk around the attraction. Can I leave and then re-enter?
No, we have a no re-entry policy. If there is a fire drill during your visit, you can of course re-enter. Do you carry out set fire drills?
Yes every Thursday at 10:15am there is a fire drill and everyone in the Aquarium is asked to leave. Can we feed the fish?
The public are unable to feed the fish, but can watch the fish being fed. See Feeds, Talks and dives. Are there areas in the Aquarium where we can touch fish? Not at present however we will hopefully be looking to install some new displays in the near future. Can I use a camera/tripod/flash?
You can ue a hand held camera only, with no tripod. Please do not use a flash When is the least crowded time to visit?
It is best to come earlier in the morning during the week to avoid the queues. Also off peak is a less busy time to visit. See prices for our peak and off peak dates. What is fast track?

The London Aquarium receives about 1 million visitors a year. Is there a gift shop?
There is a privately run gift shop at the exit of the Aquarium called Oceanic Village. This is not part of the London Aquarium. Can members of the public dive in the tanks? No, the London Aquarium does not allow members of the public to dive in our tanks. |
