At the London Aquarium we aim to create an experience of exploration, discovery and learning, as well as being committed to the conservation, protection, maintenance and rehabilitation of the natural world. We do this by participating in internationally co-ordinated endangered species programmes, supporting research and conservation initiatives, creating partnerships with conservation organisations and most importantly raising awareness of the aquatic world.
Our Education Department also aims to highlight the diversity and fragility of the natural world and to encourage visitors to get involved with conservation and to “Think global, act local”. This is done through a series of daily talks and direct contact with schools, the media and partnerships.
